modules with different tubes?

IMHO, FWIW and YMMV: I've used a BlueBox and it's been pretty good
to me. *However*, I found that setting up the guitar for it helps.
None of these circuits like to have a whole lot of harmonics,
so I set it to use only the bridge pickup and turn the tone control
all the way to bass. It's ok for me because when I use the bluebox
I usually use just the box's sound. I have a feeling that you've
already tried and passed on the bluebox... I've thought of modifying
mine with a switch so that I can get either 1 or 2 octaves down
instead of only 2. Or a panpot would be cool too. I suppose if I
wanted to mix the guitar with the box, I could build a simple pre
EQ box to go between the guitar and the bluebox. I have the bluebox
schemo here, I believe it's on the web somewhere.
