BZZZZZT!! disagree.... for DIY, most errors are in fact bad connections &
shorts.
And, a cont buzzer is a real help!
But, it is real easy to make a cont tester, which frees up your multimeter
so you
can be measuring somethng else at the same time.
I find it a real help to solder VERY POINTY prongs to my multimeter probes.
I use (dont laugh) safety pin points. You can poke right thru the green resist
layer on PCBs.
Anyone getting into the electronic nitty gritty of troubleshooting, there is
only one good book AFAIK, 'Troubleshooting Analog Circuits' Robert Pease.
DONT waste money on the Delton Horn book on fixing synths.. it is useless..
For the nominative determinists among us, thereis a UK book by someone called
Pain (really!) but, if you have Pease, you dont need it.
