Way OT: News of "it"

I think this is a really interesting phenomenon. Take
a concept that initially seems science fiction and make
it a given truth. Then we all erupt with this mental energy
to figure out how it is done. What if we could just do
that methodically on purpose? This is an idea I had
proposed at www.ideas.com - develop products or solutions
in a serial/interactive manner with multiple-source contributions.
I think by the time this thing gets public I'll have spent hours
on the web researching sterling engines and maglev trains....
Another one of those bleeding edge of science things that
grabs my attention and keeps me from making music.

Someone starting a mail list for it?

Barry

My guess: IT stands for "Individual Transportation". Note the current
scooter craze and the availability of battery powered units. Stick in a
stirling engine, perhaps do a hybrid version with a electric motor
recharged during breaking like the new cars from Honda and Toyota and
scoot away!

Looks like the Sterling will run on any source of heat which is pretty
cool.

My wild guess: IT stands for "Interstellar Transportation". Someone has
finally cracked the secrets of ancient/alien technology and we can get
off this beautiful but far too overpopulated planet!

And now back to this afternoon's rerun of the "Twilight Zone".....
