DX7

I just got myself a DX7 today, and have a few questions. (Yes, I know... it's 
d*gital)

How should the modulation wheel be working? I've gone through just about 
every parameter on the thing, including all the modulation settings, and the 
mod wheel still doesn't seem to have any effect on the sound, even at extreme 
settings.

Is the user manual to be found online anywhere? I did a quick web search but 
didn't turn up one.

I've heard about the fabled Jellinghus programmer...Do I have any chance at 
all of finding the firmware and an idea of the schematic of it? If not, is 
there any map available of all the undocumented sysex commands for me to use 
as a starting point in designing my own, and are there any other programmers 
available which have fewer features (I'm assuming the knobby will handle the 
DX-7, but I wouldn't mind having more knobs to play with than that)

are the schematics available for the ram card? (mine didn't come with one, so 
I'd like to build one and possibly give it increased capacity if the DX-7 can 
handle it)

I've heard mention of something called the E! card...what is that?

Also, has anybody here designed their own breath controller?
