On the sequencer issue...

Hey, all:

While we're on the subject, does anybody know of a US supplier for the
miniature board-mount pots used on the MiniModular? I'm going to try and
hack the 2U Frac-Rac panel 8 step sequencer issue. I've made one already
that fits, but I think the board mounted pots of a somewhat smaller size
will free up some room for a couple more features like daisy-chaining. While
the simple circuit I'm using (555 to 4017) easily allows it, I didn't have
room on the panel for the jacks, so I've only got cv out, gate out, clock in
and clock out, along with a tempo pot and run/stop switch. (I guess that's a
good amount of features for a 2U Frac-Rac panel, but nonetheless....)

Also, I used switched pots, so I could switch the gate for each step. While
that seemed a pretty nifty idea at the time, I didn't really think about the
fact that the CV would send whether or not the gate was switched in, with
the net effect that any pot that is switched off still gets the lowest CV.
Okay for a fast decay, but you get the idea. I think a good way around this
would be pots with push button switches, (which could also work for run/stop
on the tempo pot, making more room) but I doubt that board-mount mini pot
will come in such a flavor.
