modules with different tubes?

hey there, i've had the good fortune to get a bunch of tv tubes,
can these be used to make synth modules?? i've already checked
eric and rene's designs for tube types, but no matches so far.
most of these tv tubes are meant for oscillators, but at a fixed
frequency. what types of oscillator circuits lend themselves to
voltage control?? it looks like multivibrator circuits are
pretty common in tv-type circuits, but those don't look friendly
to voltage control. just a few thoughts...

i've also got a line on the guts of a lowery organ full of
6x8's, which i've heard can also be made into VCOs. are there
any schematics out there for 6X8/12AX7 VCO circuits? the whole
concept of tube synthesis is extremely interesting and i'm
really trying to get into it, and now i have a bunch of tubes,
so all i really need now is to track down <or make!> some good
designs...thanks...Nick
