Multiconductor cables + sheilding

I'd go for a locking DIN plug in an 8 conductor.
Not TOO expensive...
If you need more pins how about a HD-15 D shell
(VGA Monitor cable)...
Or try "Lemo" they make real nice-high price stuff...
