I once made a little hack to de-HTMLify huge files (multi-megabyte
files isn't my idea as a nice thing to hand-fiddle with) that I
downloaded every now and then. I guess it could be improved.
Another things with simply to set a list enforcement that bounces
emails which is not compliant. We should have had that years ago. It
would certainly have helped the awareness.
The good thing about either transconverting and bouncing is that the
list maintainer can enforce a certain rules. It also allows him to
strip of too big attachment files.
