That might lead to the use of force to turn it off though...that happened 
with my car alarm..the remote didn't work anymore, and I was always setting 
it off by mistake. One time I just could not get the noise to shut off, so I 
popped the hood, took a good swing at the siren, and that was the end of the 
noise.
