It could possibly damage the mixer... but probably
will not.
You should lower the level a LOT before the mixer...
You could put a 100K resistor in series with the synth
output, and a 10K to ground. This will form a voltage
divider.
I built one right inside a 1/4" phone plug. I use this when
testing any synth modules.
