Tactex pressure pad

Hello DIYfolk,

Here is an interesting goodie that was just reported on the MOTM list:

A sort of "polyphonic" pressure-sensitive X-Y pad, using fiber-optic 
technology to do its sensing.  By "polyphonic", I mean that a single pad can 
simultaneously sense and interpret dynamic pressure from multiple fingers 
(unlike FSR sensors and other current touch sensors).  It looks like Bob Moog 
is going to use this technology in his upcoming keyboard synth.  One 
immediately wonders what sort of DIY applications this thing might have...
