You might save yourself the work of reinventing the wheel with a prebuilt
supply. Use your time and energy to make more interesting circuits! There
are some large Power One supplies that have permeated the surplus market
recently...mpja.com might have them.
But the Power One supplies might be overkill for this project...check out
John Blacet's little PS-100 at http://www.blacet.com/ It might be just the
ticket.
