IMHO... pretty dangerous.
The shock usually is non-fatal, and is usually the ONLY shock one will
receive...
having learned instant RESPECT !
The biggest dangers IMHO range from AC mains and Grounded children, like
children on wet floors, tubs, etc... where the current path could go through
the
body core !
Another major danger (usually forgotten) is arc damage. Picture the toddler
putting a hairpin, or paper clip, or piece of wire, across the 120VAC. The arc
could flame spray that metal into unprotected face, start a fire which finishes
the
job etc.
As a young child, I was taught the nature of Electricity, the fact that you
need
a complete circuit. I showed another child that I could "touch" the 120V...
not
letting him see that I was touching only one side... and "faking" the
connection
on the far side of the plug. Of course when HE tried it he got knocked on his
@ss!
When dad found out he spanked the shit out of me. The father of the victim
protested
that my punishment was "too severe" for a little kid who did not know better.
Bullshit! My dad said "He KNEW what he was doing" ... and whacked me again!
And of course father knows best.... (lol!)
Keep kids away from danger until they know what they are doing !!! Then spank
the
shit out of them when they DELIBERATELY play with death !!!
H^) harry (kids should be spanked for endangering their own lives or the
lives of others... but not because their parents are having a bad day....)
