This might be what the "multiple" jack does. There's a circuit in the
Thomas Wells electronic music text (which is my favorite EM text because it
has lots of practical schematics in it) in which the contacts for the
multiple are connected with 10k resistors, so you can use it as a passive
mixer if needed.
I'm constantly using the stackable properties of banana jacks on my
Serge/Homebrew to fan out control signals to different places. It's also
handy way to make two shorter patch cords into a longer one if they don't
quite reach...
