   Well yes, but the effect wouldn't be that great.  Anyway, in this 
situation, there really isn't any point in having 1K resistors on the 
outputs as you can't short out a signal on a banana jacked modular!  
Heck, I don't even see it as being very necessary on any modular since 
practically every modern op-amp is short-circuit protected (most can go 
indefinately), and it's unlikely that you could short out enough to cause 
a serious current draw.
   I find that the only time output resistors are necessary is on the 
outputs that are interfacing with other gear.
