Sometimes unstacking can be a pain, but overall I think the banana
format is convenient.  It seems less intrusive to the flow of thought
when creating a patch, I use fewer cords, and I never run out of
multiples.  Plus, in a pinch, two (or more) short cords can be strung
directly together to make a longer one.  No format is perfect though,
right?  "Just run what ya brung!"
