[sdiy] Matching Transistors

I just very recently needed a pair of matched transistors. I made
up a little jig to do so, made it so I could switch the current from
500uA to 5uA to get Vbe readings at a large and small current, got out
my bag of freshly purchased 2n3906 transistors, and......the first two I
picked out matched to within 200uV? I thought for sure I did something
wrong, tried them several times, same result (all of the transistors
were from the very same batch). I have never matched transistors before
(I was always too lazy, just purchased dual matched transistors), but
frugality won out this time (a nice way to say I am CHEAP!). So, was I
lucky? Or, should I go back and check my work again?
