[sdiy] OT: Today's toxic mess

Well, I certainly appreciate hearing this. And, I apologize for suggesting
this alternative. Of course, I would never burn anything inside my home
(other than dinner). But, this leaves me somewhat puzzled. The burn
temperature must have a great deal to do with whether toxins are produced
since I do know that burning is indeed a method used to dispose of PCB
contaminated oils -- not but the consumer though.

VERY VERY BAD IDEA DO NOT BURN UNKNOWN OILS

The reason PCB oils are dangerous is they produce Dioxin when burned. Dioxin
is the most poisonous substance known to man. It is toxic in parts per
trillion. If you burn PCB oils inside your home you will poison your entire
family and anyone who enters the building for the next 200 years. This is
not a joke.
