Heh heh...you have no idea. Try working at a 
service shop as a tech, on anything over 5 years old.
Mitsubishi is a perfect example. They bluntly
tell everyone that they do not stock parts for
models over 5 years old. Amazingly arrogant attitude.

There was a popular cassette changer they made
in the late 1980s--famous for wearing out drive motors, 
because doctors, dentists and merchants used
them for background music. 
All those machines have been trashed, 'cause Mitsubishi 
didn't have any replacement motors after 1993. 
And generic Mabuchi cassette-deck motors won't work....
the voltages, speeds and torques are all wrong.
That was obviously intentional.........

Funny, I can still get parts to fix a McIntosh
tube amp from 1961, but I can't get parts to
fix a 10-year-old CD player or VCR....
