Hi...

We used a GAL16V8 at college for that purpose. Unfortunately where I work
now we only have an Altera PLD programmer. It would be much faster than a
micro based solution.

BTW: We had to duplicate some of the PLD projects using LS TTL  logic.
That's about the time I started thinking programming wasn't such a bad
idea!!!
