That's very much a consumers point of view.

You see, if you write a piece of software and you decide to sell it
(in order to pay rent and bread while writing software and quit the
job at the gasstation f.i.)
seeing everyone copying your hard labour for their own joy is more
then a pain, it's violating the chance to make a living.
And as the police will not get after the theft of intelectual rights,
you will mind warez up/downloading, and will complain about it.
