SV: [sdiy] Question...

Well u could allways try to figure out if its the analog or digital
part that has gone straight to hell...

Feed the analog part with a CV and gate signal to see if it works.
Check the transistor in the PS aswell. Robin (devilfish)
mentioned it can get overheated and cause PS malfunction.

Maybe you can get better help than, try to narrow down the possible
errors.

>p.s. seriously, though, isn't there some weird little inverter in the psu
somewhere, because it runs off batteries?

There is a DC -> DC converter that gives ~15V out of 6 if thats what you
mean...

Ämne: [sdiy] Question...

Hey, all:

I have a feeling my question might be a bit prosaic for this august body,
but does anybody know a reputable analog repair guy here in Chicago? My 303
has gone tits-up, and I can't for the life of me figure out what is wrong.
(No lights, no sound.)

I wouldn't be adverse to sending it to somebody, but not without a
reference. (While the 303 isn't worth that much in and of itself to me, I
realize its intrinsic value, and have no wish to give it away.)
