Why don't you try finding out what exactly that
frequency is and then use that as a phase modulation
frequency in Cool Edit on some of your favorite spacey
tracks and see what happens?  Let us know, (if you
still can).

ages ago I made a strobe light with external
triggering which I hooked up to 
my signal generator... I tried out strobing myself
with various frequencies, 
particularly I knew there was one around 17 hz that
was used in an anti riot 
device somewhere... so I headed for that.. its really
really spot freq, but 
if you get it, you have to turn the light off quickly,
it turns your head 
inside out!
