ages ago I made a strobe light with external triggering which I hooked up to 
my signal generator... I tried out strobing myself with various frequencies, 
particularly I knew there was one around 17 hz that was used in an anti riot 
device somewhere... so I headed for that.. its really really spot freq, but 
if you get it, you have to turn the light off quickly, it turns your head 
inside out!
