[sdiy] LED/LDR modules

Unfortunately the better NSL-32SR's aren't available through Farnell, only
the slower NSL-32, though NSL-37V51 (which is available on Farnell) seems to
be even faster that NSL-32SR. If a man builds a compessor using these is
there need for RMS/LOG converter (SSM2210) as used on most VCA based
compressors? LDR's are exponential to LED current, right?
