Well, this is an interesting concept... but as I think of it... yes,
it could very well work. One interesting concept is that if you have
the same signal modulated to the input side, to a whole column of
pixels, then would all rows operate in parallel and the noise would be
reduced since you have about 600 lines and the noise gain from that
would be 27.8 dB. The trick might be to be able to shift while still
being able to charge the cells... but for some CCDs this should work
well I guess.
