Hey...

What about Rene's midi interface that uses if my memory
serves me right the printer port.
At least worth checking out.

Hello!
I just bought a laptop (386 SX 25, 4MB ram, 9" screen for $50), and now I
want
to build a midi device which is compatible to Roland MPU 401 (I hope i
spelled
it right). If I buy one it would cost as much as the laptop, therefore I
want to
build one myself. Which URL would you recommend? I prefer good
schematics+pcb's. It can be either for the COM or SERIAL port. I want to use
the laptop with my own sequencer program, therefore it is also possible to
build a device with another standard. One OUT would do, I don't need In or
thru.
