i posted the following to the odyssey list, but thought there might be
some wisdom here as well. i have just rejoined the list (i was on a
couple of years ago).
in addition to the below..does anyone know if it is possible to patch in
a liniar cv jack to the oscilators between the cv expo converter and the
ocillator?? will this work, and what safetys should i include???
hi all, i have a whiteface that i have just fixed the osc 2 on, and
now i can't believe how great it sounds! i have a bunch of things
that i need/want to do to finish the restoration, and figured i'd see
what other odyssey users think.
1. the white paint/enamal on my machine seems to be cracking around
where the bolts are glued to the inside (the cracks are hexagonal
like the head of a bolt)...is there anything to do??? i was thinking
of putting some clear, flexible epoxy (like you use on fishing rods)
to keep it from speading. any ideas???
2. i need to lubricate the sliders...what should i use??
3. i want to add some midi functionality, as well as patch the whole
thing out. i've looked at the midijack, but that only gives 1 cv. i
was thinking of using a paia converter, and mounting it on the back,
or in a separte box...perhaps with a breakout box for the
patchpoints?? another idea i had was installing a big patchboard
where the keyboard lives, and building an external case for the
keyboard. i do have several analog synths i want to do this to, so
if anyone has brilliant ideas, i'd love to hear them.
4. i need to fix an axxe for a friend...does anyone have schematics
for an axxe (an early one, whith a pitch bend knob)?
