The ASM1 oscillator should just kickstart as it is.

The CA3140 could be replaced with basically any suitable JFET op-amp
so any normal opamp with a model around could be used. Heck, usa a
TL081 model or something. It should work OK in the simulation.

At the least you should get a rising ramp until it reaches the power
supply line.

I haven't simulated it myself... it is even a long time ago I even
tried to do it so I don't even know if I have a working Spice around.
