I agree. although I think of this as the second wave. Originally (late 60's
through the end of the 70's) it was all DIY. We put 6502's on breadboards
with 512 bytes of ram and a hex keypad, ran some wires to our Serge's and
PAiA's and god knows what and we where ON:>
Let it be all and let all have access (I will refer to Samuel Delaine's
"Stars in my Pocket like Grains of Sand").

Hello Michael,
Thank you so much for the great work you have done for the community!
Regarding a downloadable archive, I think it's best that the entire list
archive be made available to anyone who wants to read it, and without any
requirement for membership or password. If it were not for the spirit of
open communication, we would not have the great, growing worldwide community
that we have today. Without this kind of sharing, we would find ourselves
back in the dark ages of DIY (the late 1980's/early 1990's). As it is is,
we
are now entering what I think will be remembered as The Golden Age of DIY, a
time that will make the previous "golden age" look like a false start.
Thanks again for your great archive and search engine.
Best regards,
Michael Bacich
