Hello group,

Thank you all for your comments about my archive for this mailing list.
Most of them were positive, some had reported errors and problems; i hope
to have them all fixed by now.
As i can see, most users do not want fancy graphics but prefer to see the
facts; so i will leave the pages as-is, with no additional graphics. (but of course
i will still sometimes improve the funtionality)

As Martin has closed his archive, i would like to make the old text data available
on my server. There is still a potential that some sucker (Hi, Dieter D.!) could
download it and do strange things with that material.


So, i have some choices:


A: a download page where anyone could get the archives


B: same download page, but protected with a username and password for
   all group members (e.g. "SDIYReader"/"Blabla")
   Of course that password will not be posted on the list itself; otherwise anyone
   could simply search for "password" in the archive and find it there.


C: download page protected with individual passwords for each user that
   will be mailed out on request


D: simple unprotected download page, but with password-protected ZIP files


E: No downloads allowed.


Please, let me know ontil next monday, what you would prefer. Private mail preferred,
i will count the results and publish it to the group on monday. After that, i will make that
page.
