:::Well, things may be just dandy over in Europe right now, but give it time..
:::Soon, the EU will be flooded with the idea that they can get chinese and
:::indian engineers for 10 usd / hr and don't need you anymore. And, to be
:::truthful, we have sent much of our work to our facilities in Singapore and
:::China lately, and more is expected to be closed down and sent there any day
:::now..
:::
:::And, mind you, every project we have sent there has become steeped in the
:::local corruption, and gets absolutely nowhere.. but its a cheap nowhere, and
:::to bean-counters, thats better than getting anywhere. Not to mention too all
:::our execs just *love* the way they are able to treat the employees at those
:::facilities. They are sold on the idea that some minimal physical beating and
:::screaming and yelling won't lead to a hostile work enviroment lawsuit. Plus,
:::15 year old girls on the assembly line who must do anything to keep their
:::job look awefully good when you are in your 50s going through a divorce
:::because you are jerk to your family.
:::
:::Yes, some of the execs actually have bragged to me about all of the above
:::and how great it would be and how I should hurry up and get into management
:::so I can take part in the follies.

This sounds very rotten to me. I mean, I don't like some of these
management guys here, but I must admit that they do their job as good
as they can (grin). Undoubtly they show some comitment, come in @ the
weekend, buy shares which can't be sold for years etc.

Outsourcing:

Well, we have also beancounters here, but they did notice that we really
can't outsource a lot, it just doesn't work. Full stop. They may be
beancounters, but not idiots. They don't want to ruin the company.
A project failure is NO option, we don't even discuss here.

15-year-old girls business:
This will mean you'll get fired imediately over here, if it comes up. And
it will. Not to speak of the law siut you'll get. You can be sure that
the trade unionists won't rest until you'll be finished. Don't mess with
the production line. Better try in the bureau.

Are you negative due to your experiences? Or are the USA so very much
rotten? I can't believe.
