The Buchla 264 demultiplexes one control voltage into 4 via sample and holds and
a ring counter. Contrary to what you said above, you need 4 oscillators and 1
keyboard for polyphony. Would not reduce the needs for multiple oscillators in a
classic Shepard patch.

The Comdyna GP-6 is a small analog computer that includes 4 integrators, 2
multipliers and 2 summing amplifiers and 2 inverters. One GP-6 computer could
synthesize 2 VCAs or 1 poor performance VCO or 2 simple single pole VCF or 1 VC
state variable filter -- not all at the same time. Emulating standard analog
music modules is not the strength of the Comdyna GP-6. But if you need a Ueda
Attractor or other nonstandard functions, it is the way to go.
