Well, this pertains somewhat to synth-diy, because I get alot of my parts
and ideas from ppl at work. ;)

Anyway, we have a strange thing that was ordered by our VP, albeit somewhat
subversively. I have NEVER heard of any unethical crap like this being
ordered facility-wide from anyone.

This particular wonderful person (my other word for "bastard who should
drown in his own blood") has decided to send out an email to all management
telling management that NO ONE that is rated will recieve any more than an
"average" rating on their review, regardless of their actual performance.

Needless to say, I worked a position that required 2 bodies, and worked my
butt off and performed beyond expectations. My supervisor is sticking up for
me, but his supervisor is of the "Oh well" mindset..

Funny thing is, word is that this "average" rating is only for the "peons"
and doesn't apply to management.

Now, I am about to apply for a management position, and an "average" rating
will ruin my chances..

What options do I have? Lawyer? Parking lot baseball bat episode?
What!?!?!?!

This is the worst thing I have EVER heard from a corporation, and I
personally am about to take to arms over it because I am so damned
disgusted.. Personally, if its a budget issue, keep the crappy 1% raise and
just rate my performance properly. Don't destroy my carreer over it..

I am tempted to go straight up to this guy and just let him have it about
how unethical this is.. If I am going to get fired, might as well go out
swinging.

Rob
