Well, I hope this won't lead to another endless debate...

anyway, we're all very thankful for the time & energy you'll spend
scanning & posting those documents, and don't want to look like demanding
people... The only thing is to agree on a file format & resolution that will
give
the best results for display AND printing, so that you won't have to do the
job
several times...

Again, I've never used PNG, so I rely on you on this matter...
But I'm afraid your views on PDF doesn't do justice to that format :
if documents are scaned at 300 dpi, they'll be compressed by PDF without
any loss, won't give huge files, and will give optimum results for both
screen display and printing.
