er, that's "bass guitar", if you don't mind. both trevor horn and I are players of real bass guitars; along with many others, we came to resent the electronic substitutes poular during the 80s, in the same way as our rhythm-section buddies on their drumstools came to hate drum machines, eventually finding ways to make the real thing fit in with electronics. watch an episode of "seinfeld" and see if you really prefer the sound of a bass played by a keyboard.
