And if you do, could you *please* not use JPEG for line drawings?

GIF is a much better format for this kind of image - smaller file size and
you do not loose any resolution.

JPEG is great for continuous tone images ( color photographs etc... ) but it
does really poorly when you have sharp objects ( lines ) and few colors -
GIF shines in cases like this.
