I only have experience with the Atmel and the PIC... they're indeed quite
different yet extremely similar, major differences are centered around how
to access registers or busses.

I don't know if you've seen the Tiger uC's, they're quite easy to use and
you program them with basic (Compiled, not tokenized)

You're not the only one...  :] (In fact I love 68K assembly the most)
