This is true, and like with anything in life, there's a million ways to
crack a nut..
The concept is that a predefined 'backplane' is setup, with timing and
voltages all set, after that, anything goes..

This is true also, but Im sure a compromise could be reached that would be
best for the all..

Disagree...
As long as you stick to the structure of the bus system, you can use
whatever processor you want...

This is a good idea...
But things like the synth DIY grey pages already exist...
and who has that much webspace to spare?
I mean that could go into Gigabytes of schematics..
