Hi Massimo,

Well, I cannot pretend to know how it works, but I can tell you that I built
this circuit 20 years ago as part of an all Electronotes synth. Not much of the
synth worked, except this VCA. I still have the circuit board on my workbench. A
few years ago I added a 386 as a low power headphone amp and I still use it
today to test 3080's, envelope generators, etc.

My $0.10 FWIW...
