I don't know if this is any help, but where I work we have a drawer full of DOZENS of 27C64 EPROMS. We will never use them for anything, because the equipment they were used in is no longer in service. We also have an EPROM eraser and a burner, with which I could copy firmware onto erased eproms, provided I had an original to copy from.
