[sdiy] newbie with some questions

I've been at my modular for about a year and a half, my major breakthrough
was getting the electronotes Musical Engineer's Handbook and Builder's Guide
and Preferred Circuits Collection, which are available here:

I balked at the $60 price but now that I have it it's an indeispensible
resource and answered so many questions clearly and concisely.
