As far as I am aware, the filter chips used in the DW8000
can be removed and operated as a stand alone unit. You will
require a data sheet though, ask on the Synth DIY list! I'm sure
someone has the specs for it.
You should probably keep some of the keys, as they tend to
be needed by people from time to time. Maybe you could give the
synth to a repair company who could make use of it?
How badly trashed is it?
