Most guitar pedals aren't purchased for their solid engineering principles
but rather on what they do to the tone. Those same design flaws might be
part of what gives each pedal its unique character.
Also, guitarists tend to know what combinations work well together -
marshall stacks with gibson les pauls, fender amps with strats, etc. I
would imagine the same goes for the pedals.
Good engineering? perhaps not - but what a killer sound.
