Hi List,
Just wanted to mention that I have recently built one of Harry's PV-1
pitch-voltage converter boards (available from EFM), and it works
nicely. As a test, I set the Jupiter-8 to monophonic mode, fed the JP-8
output into the PV-1, whose output in turn controlled the frequency of a
cloned Moog Prodigy VCO. Got tight tracking over 5 octaves (length of
JP-8 kbd). As the converter works by measuring the instantaneous period
of the input waveform (rather than being a simple tachometer-type
circuit) it also follows rapid pitch changes - portamento, LFO mode
quite well. Harry was quite helpful with "technical support".
Mike
