I think it's funny. We seen to be very tolerant of just about
anything anybody wants to say about pretty much anything.
...and we're all guilty. Seems to me I actually posted a link
to a Sterling steam engine once...After starting a totally OT
thread.... .;-)
This is by far the best list on the web. Hosted and maintained
by the best...(Hi Rick..;-) and the membership is.....well what
can I say? ....the best!
Other lists tend to exterminate with extreme prejudice any
thing slightly OT. I usually just let the OT stuff slide right by
but it's nice to have a place you can shout out to your buds
(that's mates in euro-lingo) without getting stomped on....;-)
Congratulations, Juergen! I'm total baby putty myself. I've
been known take crying babies because I figure I stand a better
chance of finding out what's wrong that most. My wife
agrees that it's an extension my controlling personality. I
prefer to be in charge...even if it or they are crying at me...;-)
I usually get the child to function with minimal fuss with a
combination of making goofy child like sounds myself and
movement of the child. Ether by rocking continually or carrying.
The carrying can be tricky....If the child needs to burp, it's
best to carry with belly to your body, patting continually on the
back...until there is a pressure release....you'll know..;-)
If the baby is bored...carry the child in your hands facing the
world . You will develop a knack for this method, holding the
butt in your palm, securing a leg between your fingers and
holding the baby to your body with what would otherwise
and never again be your free hand. I explain and talk about
everything....just as I would an older child. I have found that
most if not all babies get pissed for 1 or more of about half a
dozen reasons but it could be anything. My Goddaughter
doesn't like anybody....ever. I'm only one of 6 people that she
will let hold her, at all!
They are usually wet, hungry or tired. They can't walk and
they can't talk. It tough being little. It'd piss me off too...;-)
All Joking aside. Kim and I send our best to you and yours.
We would be honored to welcome Young Master Tassilo
Johannes Haible to his life. May all of dreams be of sweetness
and his path in this world safe and even.
