I have also seen schematics (few thankfully) that do not
have an arrow at all. These have been simple things
like amplifiers where if you look at the topology, you
can tell collector from emitter. You have to figure out
NPN from PNP by looking at the polarity of the biases
applied. Not fun, but can be done. (I have a guitar
amp book that has some like this. I took a pencil and...)
