[sdiy] DC offset amplifier?

I'm working on an LFO to use as CV for a VCO (I need more acronyms in 
there), and I want to have a variable DC offset for the output of the 
LFO.  I'll be using that to control the pitch of the VCO, so I want 
my LFO's wave to be riding on a variable DC voltage.  What's the best 
way to go about doing this?  Should I sum the LFO's output with the 
output of a DC amplifier...?
