[sdiy] [OT] Theremin Movie

    I just finally got to see this movie...I can't remember if it was
somebody on this list who mentioned it, or I saw something about it
somewhere else...

    For those who have not seen this movie...Get IT!  NOW! I command
you!  It is a documentary on the life of Leon Theremin.  It includes
interviews with Clara Rockmore, Leon Theremin (he was still alive when
the movie was made), several other associates of his whose names escape
me.  Plus, interviews with Rober Moog, Brian Wilson (they could have
skipped him, he was slightly less than lucid), plus some old movie clips
that used the Theremin, including the Jerry Lewis movie where Jerry has
a close encounter with a Theremin.

    I am going to have to listen to this movie again tomorrow night.  I
could have sworn I heard Clara Rockmore say something to the effect that
the Moog Theremin was inferior....

    The name of the movie is "Theremin An Electronic Odyssey" from Avant
Garde Cinema (MGM).
