[sdiy] my mc202 eats batteries...

Synth DiY WebPages:-Hi all,
          just finished repairing  an mc202 ( vcf res slider replacement amongst other things).
Anyway works fine on external power. When i tried with batteries..its fine for like 1/2 hour continuous play ..then the battery low indicator starts blinking.  To those MC202 users out there.. what kind of battery performance do you find.?
1/2 hour seems a bit lame to me. Looks like I havent quite finished my repairs...!
